Chinese Restaurant Social Place Has Mooncakes That Come In A Handbag For Fashionista Foodies In Singapore
This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is going to be an exciting one - not just because there are bubble tea mooncakes, but also because there are many aesthetically-pleasing varieties to choose. Some examples include 7-Eleven’s My Melody mooncakes, glossy galaxy lotus mooncakes, and thousand layer character mooncakes with designs like unicorns and Sanrio's Little Twin Stars.
Women who prefer something simple and classy compared to cutesy colourful designs, here’s something for you too: Chinese restaurant Social Place Singapore has mooncake sets that come in stylish, functional handbags that you can continue using even after Mooncake Festival is over!

Social Place’s Mid-Autumn handbag sets feature 6 snowskin mooncakes, with 2 pieces each of the following flavours: Yuzu Martini, Pandan with Gula Melaka, and good old Mao Shan Wang Durian.
Each set comes in an insulated box to keep the mooncakes fresh, before being placed in a pretty bag in blue or khaki - though the latter looks more like a pale yellow than anything. Do note that the choice of bag colour is subject to availability.

As a final finishing touch, each bag comes with a scarf ribbon tied around its handle, along with a little bag tag with gold logo for extra luxe points.

The 6-piece mooncake sets cost $78, which works out to $13 per piece - that’s a decent price considering you’re getting an actual handbag for free. It may not be a Birkin or Chanel, but hey, it looks hella classy either way, so why not?
