Polar Has New Sanrio My Melody Chocolate Cuppies Specially For Mid-Autumn Festival 2020
It is now mooncake season, and the never ending debate of snowskin versus baked is up again. But if you fancy neither for some reason, then perhaps some cute chocolate cupcakes will be. Polar Puffs & Cakes in Singapore has released new limited edition My Melody Chocolate Cuppies specially for the occasion, which you can get as an alternative to regular mooncakes.
If you’re wondering what Sanrio has gotta do with Mid-Autumn Festival, well, remember that the character is a bunny, which ties in with the legend of Chang’E. Nicely played!

The My Melody Chocolate Cuppies are filled with dark chocolate mousse layered with chocolate sponge. According to Polar, these are best served chilled.
There are 2 designs, both of which feature the hooded bunny in a pink kimono surrounded by sakura flowers. The first one shows her sitting pretty in her outfit, a perfect image of serenity.
The second one has added colour in the form of a red Japanese umbrella held in her paws.
Polar Puffs & Cakes’ My Melody Chocolate Cuppies are sold in boxes of 6 for $29.40, with 3 pieces of each design. This works out to $4.90 per cupcake, which is on the pricey side, but they’ll still make for a sweet gift for somebunny special. Check them out here.
