Singapore’s First Puppy Yoga Studio Lets You Be Surrounded By Cute Dogs While You Get Fit
What’s better than doing yoga? Doing yoga while surrounded by cute dogs, that’s what!
Much to the delight of dog-lovers and yoga enthusiasts, Puppy Yoga Singapore has recently launched their weekly classes so that the best of both can be combined into one fun experience. If you’re not a fan of exercising to begin with, well, perhaps you’d want to reconsider now! Never too late to join the fit fam.

Founded by fresh NUS graduate Audrey Sin, Puppy Yoga Singapore was born out of her love for both exercise and doggos. As someone who is passionate about animals, the 23-year-old sets aside a portion of her class profits to donate to local dog shelters.

Classes are split into 2 segments: 35 minutes of yoga followed by 15 minutes of pure playtime with the dogs. This keeps things light and chill, so even if you’re not up for a huge sweat, there’s nothing to worry about.

The good news is, you don’t need to have a dog to join in, nor do you need to be an expert in yoga - these classes are open to anyone! You’ll be able to freely interact with other participants’ friendly dogs during the session, and don’t be surprised if some curious canines amble over and start sniffing or licking you when you’re in the middle of a yoga pose!

Plenty of laughs are guaranteed, and you’ll leave the session feeling a lot more relaxed when you first came. After all, it has been scientifically proven that playing with pets can improve one’s mental health!

If you’re a proud parent to a furkid, you are of course encouraged to bring along your dog for playtime. Feel free to bring along your dog’s favourite toy or a bag of treats!

Do note that part of the point of this experience is to let dogs and humans socialise, so you’ll have to be okay with others petting your pup during the session.

There are certain requirements for the dogs though:
- Small (height of 40cm (at their shoulders) and weight of 10kg and below)
- Non-aggressive and friendly
- Vaccinated
- Toilet trained
- Clean

Fret not if your doggo is a big boy or girl, because they do have special sessions catered specifically to those with larger furkids.

Tickets cost $25 for those bringing dogs, and $35 for those who aren’t. The difference in prices is due to the fact that dogs are a key aspect of the experience! Either way, this is more ethical than going to a dog petting cafe, and who knows, you might even make new friends along the way - hooman or otherwise.
Here’s a little teaser of how a Puppy Yoga session will be like:
Classes are currently held at their studio at Bugis. Check out their various slots and make your booking here.
