Let’s be honest, deciding on a new hairstyle can feel like spinning a roulette wheel with your face on the line. One skewed fringe or awkward curl and suddenly you're dodging mirrors for weeks! But finally, there's a smarter way to figure out your next hair move, and it’s powered by science and style.

And no, it’s not just any app! Their Hair Personality App is developed in-house by the salon and will recommend a cut and curl based on your entire face and body.

So, what exactly is a hair personality?

Unlike the usual salon process—“You have a round face, so maybe go for layers?”—this app considers key physical features: your face shape, height, build, and even your skin tone. From there, it places you into one of nine hair personality categories, like ‘Vogue’ (bold and trend-forward) or ‘Natural’ (easygoing and low-maintenance).

Each category comes with a custom playbook: recommended hair length (based on the golden ratio), best texture (curls, waves, or straight), and fringe type (side-swept, wispy, blunt, or none). There's even advice on what clothing styles work with your look, although we're not throwing out our closets just yet.

TLDR; It’s part beauty tool and part personality quiz, but all reliably built with data, not just vibes!

Even with smart tech at their fingertips, Picasso doesn’t leave your perm to a rookie. All their perm specialists have years of experience, and must complete a vigorous in-house training programme before they can work with clients. That’s at least six months of learning how to design, layer, and style curls for every face shape and hair type!

So while the app suggests your curl type, it’s the stylist who decides whether you’re better suited for a Korean Romantic Perm (loose, natural curls), a Cushion Perm (bouncy and sporty), or something more dramatic, like the Volume Perm (inspired by Victoria’s Secret waves).

After undergoing a Hair Personality consultation using their in-house app, a custom curl blueprint is created just for you. From there, it’s wash, cut, and prep time, with the addition of an ultra-softening treatment to get your strands ready for curl perfection.

Then comes the main event: Picasso’s signature perm rod technique, applied with precision by a trained stylist. The curls are set, fixed for longevity, and followed by a strengthening treatment that makes your hair feel like it just came back from vacation, not chemical warfare.
