This $4 Peranakan-Themed Cable Car Ride In Sentosa Is The Cutest Date Idea Ever
PSA for couples, besties, and anyone looking to elevate their June plans: Sentosa’s fleet of cable cars just got a major makeover! To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Singapore Cable Car – Sentosa Line, all 51 cable car cabins have gotten the ultimate heritage-chic transformation.
We’re talking Peranakan-themed cabins decked out in soft pastels, vintage tile prints, and ornate floral motifs, all inspired by the iconic shophouses of Koon Seng Road.

1-for-1 cable car rides
Here’s the tea: from now till 31 August 2025, locals and Singaporeans can enjoy a 1-for-1 promo, so it will cost only $4 for two to ride the Sentosa Line. A bit of girl math: that's just $2 per person to float above lush greenery, sandy beaches, and all your worries. Consider your weekend plans sorted.
And if one round trip just enough for you to take in all the sights and sounds, you can also opt for 1-day unlimited rides passes for two at just $14!

Peranakan-themed activities & workshops
Of course, that's more than enough to enjoy fun-packed day exploring Sentosa island in style — but for those who love to get crafty, there are also fun, hands-on workshops to try out on the ground.
Happening on the last weekend of each month, these workshops are led by local artists and makers, and feature traditional crafts like: Embroidery with Peranakan motifs, Mini clay kueh sculpting, Beading, Rubber stamp carving, and more.
