#1 Compact mirror

A compact mirror is a must-have so you won't have to head to the washroom to use the mirror there whenever you need to reapply your lipstick. Get a small one so that it fits into any makeup pouch or bag easily.

#2 Makeup puff/mini sponge

The quickest way to fix your foundation is to use a makeup puff or sponge to touch up. Bringing your usual foundation brush or beauty sponge out isn't practical as they take up a lot of space but you can always find mini versions of them.

#3 Mini concealer

As foundations typically come in big, full-sized bottles, bringing them out would mean taking up space in your makeup pouch or bag. However, many brands have mini versions of their concealers which you can purchase to touch up on areas that have smudged when you are out.

#4 Lip balm

Lip balms are another must-have in your makeup pouch especially if you have dry lips! Most lipsticks tend to dry out our lips so it's good to have a lip balm to moisturise your lips before reapplying lipstick.

#5 The lipstick you are wearing for the day

If you have a collection of different lipsticks and don't usually stick to one, you might forget to bring that lipstick you have chosen to wear on that day out. So, when you are done applying, drop it straight into your makeup pouch to avoid the chances of forgetting to bring it out.

Mascara smudges can be hard to remove so it's important to bring makeup wipes out with you! We prefer wipes compared to liquid makeup removers as they are light and easy to use. If you have oily skin and don't have enough space in your makeup pouch or bag to bring a setting powder out with you, the next best thing to help remove that shine is oil blotting sheets. Oil blotting sheets are thin and light so they won't add any weight to your bag!

An anti-blister stick isn't makeup-related but will save you from a lot of pain! Grimacing whenever you take a step in your new shoes isn't a cute look so get an anti-blister stick that reduces rubbing and will prevent blisters from forming in return.

These small little pins are way more useful than you think! They help to keep hair in place and can even save you from a wardrobe malfunction. If a button on your outfit pops when you are out, at least you can use the bobby pin to keep your clothes together before you resolve the problem.
