For base makeup

#1 Powder your face bit by bit to prevent an overly matte face without any dewiness, and only on areas where you tend to get oilier.

#2 Wet your makeup sponge and use it to apply foundation to let it adhere to your skin better and for a dewy look.

#3 Make sure to choose a foundation shade that matches as closely as possible to your neck to prevent two uneven tones.

#4 Add a few drops of liquid highlighter to your foundation if it's too matte-looking for your liking.

#5 Apply concealer after foundation because you won't want your foundation to smudge the areas you so painstakingly concealed.

For contour, highlight and blush

#6 Apply a bit of highlighter on your brow bone to make your brows look lifted.

#7 Apply a bit of highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes to instantly make yourself look more awake.

#9 Avoid applying blusher only on the apples of your cheeks as that could result in a clown-like look.

#11 Contour your jaw line by starting from the ends of your ears to your chin for a natural look.

#12 Choose a bronzer shade that isn't overwhelmingly dark (compared to your natural skin tone) to achieve the most natural look.

For eye makeup

#13 Apply a light eyeshadow colour closest to your natural skin tone all over your eyelids as the base of your eye makeup.

#14 Use a brown eyeliner instead of black for a softer look.

#15  Apply a layer of eyeshadow over your eyeliner to make it last as long as possible (brown eyeshadow on brown eyeliner and black eyeshadow on black eyeliner).

#16 Use a cotton swab and some makeup remover to correct any mistakes around your eye area.

#17 Apply some powder to your eyebrows before filling them in to prevent it from smudging.

#19 If you are not good at drawing eyeliner, use a brown or black eyeshadow instead for better control.

#20 Use eyebrow gel or eyebrow mascara after filling in your eyebrows to make it stay in place all day long.

#21 Curl your lashes in three portions - inner corner, middle and outer corner for the best effect and to make sure each lash is curled.

For lip makeup

#25 Use your lipstick as blusher and eyeshadow if you need to finish using it soon before it expires.

#26 Apply lip balm to sleep to wake up to smooth and supple lips, ready for lipstick application the next day.
