Xiaxue & Mike Sayre Have Ended Their Marriage After 17 Years Of Being Together
OG Xiaxue fans would have been part of her Blogspot days, where the pint-sized social media star would openly share about the personal details of her day-to-day - including her love life. From the early stages of her relationship to the big proposal and wedding, to life after marriage as a mother, getting to know about her various life milestones in great detail was almost akin to us "growing up" with her.
It all seemed picture perfect on the outside, with many even branding the couple #relationshipgoals - so it came as a total shocker when Xiaxue announced the end of her marriage to Mike Sayre after 17 long years. Read on for more details of Xiaxue and Mike’s breakup.

Taking to Instagram on 5 April 2023, Xiaxue uploaded a short and succinct text image post announcing her breakup, in which she mentioned that she and Mike had been secretly “separated for a long time now”. According to Xiaxue, her separation from now-ex-husband Mike was "mutual and amicable" - but it was nonetheless a difficult decision that took the two of them a long time to come to.
“This may not be the fairytale ending that everyone wishes for, but 17 years is a long time and we have had a good run with loads of love, happiness, and memories we formed together.”
Xiaxue and Mike got married on their 4th anniversary in March 2010, which means that the couple would have celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this year, had they stayed together.

Xiaxue also dedicated a little paragraph to Mike in the post. Referring to him as her “partner in crime”, she wished him “nothing but happiness for [his] future”, saying that she never regretted picking him despite the eventual end of the relationship.

In addition to that, Xiaxue addressed her loyal fans who have been following her love story all these years, saying that she’s sorry that it had all come to an end, and asked for privacy during this difficult period while she and Mike focus on co-parenting their 10-year-old boy, Dash.
The text caption offers no further elaboration, and simply reads, "A note from Mike and Wendy". It is unclear as to whether the separation is still ongoing, or whether Xiaxue and Mike have already officially finalised their divorce. Comments for the post have been turned off.
At time of writing, Mike has not personally addressed the breakup on his own Instagram account, and it is likely that he’ll continue keeping mum based on his reserved nature.

On hindsight, the observant would have noticed that Mike has indeed been absent from Xiaxue’s social media, which mostly just shows her having fun with her fellow influencer girlfriends. The last post that Xiaxue uploaded on her Instagram feed featuring Mike goes way back to 27 March 2021, where the ex-couple are seen celebrating their Dash’s 8th birthday together.

As for the last photo of just Mike and Wendy alone? This dates back to around two weeks earlier than the aforementioned - a lovey dovey shot of them celebrating their 15th anniversary and 11th wedding anniversary at swanky restaurant Riviera.
Since there were no such posts in the following year, one may assume that Xiaxue and Mike broke up sometime in 2021 or early 2022.
While the situation is heartbreaking, we wish Xiaxue and Mike all the best as they move on with their lives, with the hope that they'll still be able to achieve happiness without each other in the picture.
