Vin Geek: New Bistro In Singapore Has A Unique Self-Service Wine Dispenser With Premium Wines From $2.50/Glass
It isn't every day when we can casually order a bottle of really expensive wine, save for the well-heeled. But at Vin Geek, a new bistro at Pacific Plaza, regular Joes can enjoy small quantities of the finest wine in an unintimidating environment without racking up a frightening bill.
First started as an e-commerce store in 2012, Vin Geek has evolved into a wine bar, bistro and retail store that aims to translate wine culture for everyone. Another interesting feature is its self-service wine dispenser offering tasting portions of premium wines from around the world including Australia, France, Italy and Spain.

The wine dispenser holds a rotation of 24 wine bottles including reds, whites and rosés. Each bottle has a QR codes so diners can learn more about each wine's origins and taste profiles - very introvert-friendly!
These QR codes also serve as the ordering and payment method. After scanning the code and inputing your details, simply choose between three tasting measures - 30ml, 90ml and 150ml - and press start.
With prices starting from $2.50 for a 30ml Rosé, this wine concept is deal for those who'd like to sample a wide variety of wines. And for those who want a taste of some fancy wine with an equally fancy price tag, there's the option to try a tiny quantity here, rather than committing to a standard full glass or the entire bottle.
