#1 Cat & The Fiddle Matchastic Xanda
Photo from Cat & the Fiddle
Gourmet cheesecake patisserie Cat & the Fiddle has launched a new limited time flavour that I wish would be a permanent addition - Matchastic Xanda.
This decadent no-bake cheesecake (whole, 800g: $55.90; slice: $6.90) has layers of green tea sponge, velvety smooth green tea-infused cream cheese and white chocolate mousse. Sprinkled on top are green tea sponge crumbs that give it a lovely moss-like aesthetic. Bring out the nature-inspired look further with the daisy decorative pieces.

Matchastic Xanda is available at catandthefiddle.com and at all Cat & the Fiddle outlets island-wide till 30 June. Enjoy 20% off by flashing any mention of the promotion on social media in-stores or using the promo code, 'MATCHASTIC' for online orders.
#2 BreadTalk Everlasting Love Collection
Photo from BreadTalk
BreadTalk has outdone themselves with this collection of gorgeous, princess-y cakes with elaborate piping details and a stunning carnation-shaped chocolate centrepiece.

The cakes (whole: $40.80 whole, slice: $6.90) come in two flavours. Yam lovers can go for Eternal Love, a pretty pastel pink cake, while those who prefer fruity flavours will enjoy Enduring Love, a pale pink strawberry and raspberry cake. We tried the latter thinking it would be a sweet fest, but it turned out to be a light, airy cake with delicate flavours and a natural tanginess and sweetness from the berries. It also has a lovely combination of textures with chiffon, mousse, cream and pudding.
#3 Châteraisé Mother's Day 2022
Châteraisé counters are always a dazzling sight, and it's about to get even prettier with the bold Mother's Day cakes.
A showstopper is the Flower Dome ($40), a 15cm cake that resembles a blooming carnation. It's made with a fluffy sponge cake, strawberries, Hokkaido milk pudding, white chocolate mousse and fresh cream.

Another picture-perfect options is the Love Blossom Cake (14cm: $40, 17cm: $45), a classic strawberry sponge cake given an upgrade.

There's also the Strawberry Mille Crepe ($45) made with layers of light and airy crepes with strawberry cream and strawberry sponge.

Other Mother's Day specials include the Tiramisu Chocolate Cake($6.70), Rich Matcha Cake ($42) and Strawberry Mont Blanc ($7.20).
They're now available for preorder and will be launched in stores on 1 May.

If your mum is a durian lover and prefers a darker, mysterious aesthetic over pinks and florals, this stunning Golden Moments Blissful Bundle gift set ($98.80, U.P.: $141.60) is one to consider.
It comes with a 6-inch Forever Love Mao Shan Wang Cake that has creamy durian sandwiched between moist chocolate fudge cake, as well as box of preserved flowers with a glamorous monochrome colour palette.

#5 Goodwood Park Hotel Durian Fiesta 2022
Staying on the durian train, Goodwood Park Hotel's annual Durian Fiesta is back this year with eight new elegant desserts made with quality D24 and Mao Shan Wang durian varieties. These treats are available for takeaway and dine-in from now till 24 July 2022.
Some standout creations include the Banana Flambé Cake ($18), an elevated version of the banana cake. It features D24 durian mousse sandwiched between layers of moist banana cake studded with chocolate chips, on a base of house-made vanilla biscuit coated with chocolate sponge crumbs. The cake is topped with caramelised bananas, dressed with durian sauce and sprinkled with chopped baked walnuts.

Another one worth trying is the Strawberry Mascarpone Filo Tart ($19). This elegant tart is meticulously crafted with eight thin layers of filo pastry that serves as a crispy cradle for the luscious durian mousse, mascarpone cream, strawberries and roasted pistachios.

Trumping all these exquisite desserts is the Lychee Blossom Cake (from $19), a cake that has lychee and durian with a delicate touch of rose - an impeccable combination! It also helps that the cake looks absolutely beautiful with a rose white chocolate glaze garnished with lychee, rose petals and dried roselle.

Goodwood Park Hotel also has dine-in exclusives like Deep-fried D24 Mochi Ball and Pan-fried D24 Blue Pea Kueh Salat, available only at Min Jiang at Goodwood Park Hotel.

#6 Wunderfolks Tarts
Wunderfolks Tarts is best loved for their simple yet satisfying tarts ($8 each for walk-ins, box of 6: $42) in harmonious flavour combinations held in handmade crispy and crumbly crust.

There are three new kids on the block including Matcha Azuki Tart, a rich green tea tart with a thin layer of red bean adding more dimension, and Coffee Hazelnut Tart, an aromatic treat that will satisfy even non coffee drinkers. Our favourite of the bunch is the Mango Passionfruit Tart which has a refreshing and tangy burst of flavour.
Other flavours to try are the bestsellers: Fruitilicious Mixed Fruit Tart, Valrhona Dark Chocolate Tart and Lychee Tart.
Wunderfolks Tarts has two locations: 201 Joo Chiat Road and Wisma Atria #B1-44.
#7 LA VIE: Hayley & Egg Sheeran
After capturing our hearts (and wallets) with the adorable cake that looks like a bear sleeping on a cloud, LA VIE has unveiled two new desserts that are just as 'gram-worthy.
First is Hayley ($11), a panda-shaped black sesame mousse cake with pandan joconde sponge, a thin coat of Valrhona Ivoire chocolate and a pandan coconut cremeux core.

Next is the hilariously named Egg Sheeran ($11). Designed to look like an egg and a chick, this cutie comes with a surprise - it looks like an egg on the inside too! Crack the Valrhona white chocolate "shell" and you'll see the "egg white" made of mascarpone cream cheese mousse and "yolk" made of cheese and baked cheesecake. At the base is vanilla genoise sponge.
