Another day, another Insta-worthy food item threatening our wallets! This time, it's the adorable cakes at dessert cafe LA VIE that look like little bears sleeping on a cloud.

One of the eight new dessert cafes that opened in Singapore this year, LA VIE is a former home-based bakery opened by a pastry chef who trained at Le Cordon Bleu Academy. It soon became popular enough to open a full fledged cafe located at Jalan Besar.

The cafe is best known for their unique, French-style cakes that have a delicate and feminine charm. Some signature items are Chloe ($8.50), a lychee and rose cake topped with popping lychee boba, and Épic ($11), a trio chocolate entremet that looks like a porcupine.
A newcomer to the scene is Momo ($10), a cake designed to look like a sleepy pastel blue bear sitting on a cloud. Inspired by the feeling of falling asleep on a plane while it flies through the clouds, this lovely work of art has a mix of kawaii and zen vibes that's almost too #aesthetic to destroy.
Eating the cake itself will complete the soothing experience as it's made with a delicate combination of roasted oolong mousse, peach jelly and vanilla chiffon sponge. The bear is made of handcrafted white chocolate.

There's also an 8-inch whole cake version ($85) that looks like a bear deep in slumber on a cloud, surrounded by stars and moon paper cut-outs. It comes in pastel blue and pink.
