Estate: New Luxurious Buffet Restaurant At Hilton Orchard Singapore Has Peking Duck, Fresh Seafood & A Wide Range Of Desserts
Early last year, Hilton opened Hilton Singapore Orchard, the company's largest hotel in Asia Pacific, right above luxury shopping centre Mandarin Gallery.
Staycation naysayers, you might have snubbed the news, but remember, with hotels come exquisite buffet experiences! The hotel is home to Estate, an all-new buffet restaurant that has gorgeous interiors and a wide spread of premium quality food and desserts.
P.S.: check out our review of Estate's other buffets: Sunday Brunch and Lobster, Crab & Seafood.
Ambience At Estate - Hilton Singapore Orchard
In line with the botanical theme of the hotel, Estate has a stunning interior that combines modern opulence with nature-inspired touches.
The space is notably luxurious, but also offers a cosy and unintimidating ambience thanks to the earthy colour palette, soft lighting and use of natural materials.

Food At Estate - Hilton Singapore Orchard
Estate is an all-day buffet restaurant that offers international dishes as well as elevated regional favourites made with freshly sourced produce and spices.
Here's what you can expect for the dinner buffet:
Cold Seafood
The most valued part of any buffet - the raw seafood - is tucked away at the end of the corridor where they are piled up high on ice. There's a wide variety of fresh cold seafood to indulge in including Tiger Prawns, Black Mussels, Clams, Scallops and Yabbies.

The Freshly Shucked Oysters were notably massive, and succulent and full of flavour to boot.

Premium Meats & Carvings
Make sure to target the Estate Black Truffle Roasted Duck first as you'll likely want seconds. The tender duck is simply divine, drizzled with a decadent truffle plum sauce and ginger honey soya, and served with cabbage, fried tofu, homemade sweet turnip pickle, coriander cress.

Another dish that we reckon will draw a crowd is the Whole Barramundi covered in a piquant and addictive sauce made with green pepper, chilli, potato, coriander and spring onion.

Meat eaters can gouge themselves in the Whole Roasted Lamb served in tortilla wraps with kachumber salad and a spicy mint sauce.

There's also a range of classic Chinese comfort food like Kam Heong Clams with Omelette, Sichuan-Style Spicy Chicken "La Zhi Ji", Cantonese-Style Wagyu Beef Handmade Noodles and Gluten-Free Octopus Curry Puff.

The vegetables at buffets tend to be overlooked but the ones at Estate deserve plenty of attention. I always save a little space for the Braised White Daikon with Chicken Broth and Baby Shrimp which are served in generous, thicc slices and have a subtle yet satisfying crunch and a refreshing burst of sweetness.
The other veggies like Homemade Black Bean Tofu and Vegetable Briyani also stood out just as much as the seafood and meat dishes.

Desserts
Even if you're bursting at the seams, there's no option but to make room (and lots of it) in your tummy for dessert as Estate's buffet is as much as a sweets paradise as it is a savoury food haven.

A new addition to the buffet section is the DIY waffle & ice cream bar where you can assemble your own dessert with charcoal waffles, vanilla or matcha gelato and toppings.

Some of the desserts are served in little jars! These don't just look pretty and serve as clever plating, they're the perfect serving size to gratify sweet cravings while making room to try all the other desserts.

The ones I always go straight for are the Champagne Mixed Berries Gelée and Tarte Au Citron.

For the people who eat salad at buffets (judging you silently), you can zone in for the salad bar which has a wide variety of beans and seeds, condiments and dressings.
There's also a bread bar with condiments and a fruit bar with a selection of fresh and whole fruits.
Estate also offers lunch buffet which has a slightly smaller spread.
