There are plenty of out-of-Singapore experiences to make up for the lack of travel. You can "travel" to:
- Japan at a sakura-filled cafe in Orchard Road
- Korea at an autumn-themed cafe in Tanjong Pagar
- Taiwan at a minimalist cafe in West Coast
- Hong Kong at a glamorous hidden cafe in Chinatown
- Spain at a rose-filled bar near Somerset
- Thailand at a $0.80 boat noodle bistro in Yishun
Adding to the list is a breathtaking Japanese restaurant with a zen garden that'll instantly transport you to Kyoto, Japan: Keyaki Restaurant.

Located at Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore, the Garden Pavilion next to Keyaki Restaurant looks straight outta Kyoto. Clad in traditional Shoji-inspired screens, the pavilion overlooks a beautifully sculpted Japanese garden and a koi pond.
This 40-seater private dining space was built in 2018 to provide diners with a sense of exclusivity and luxury. It can be customised for private luncheons and dinners, cocktail receptions and even weddings.
Even if you're don't have a private event to attend at the Garden Pavilion, there are plenty of photo opportunities from the garden.
The main Keyaki Restaurant has a calming wooden interior with tatami and western-style private dining rooms.
Besides the architecture and garden, there's more to remind you of Japan like the Japanese posters and a giant tanuki statue.
One the menu is a selection of freshly sourced and immaculately presented Japanese cuisine.
As expected, the prices match the luxurious ambience, so prepare to shell out for a meal here! Weekend 7-course brunches start at $75, lunch sets at $55, kaiseki dinners at $155 and multi-course teppanyaki at $155. You can also go for the la carte menu which includes sushi, teppanyaki, sashimi and more.
