New Hidden Alfresco Greenhouse-Style Cafe At Bukit Timah Opens Early At 7.30am Daily
Any morning people? I honestly can't relate, but there's a new cafe in town that does and caters to you early risers.
Joining our list of picturesque alfresco dining spots in Singapore is Prairie By Craftsmen, a new cafe & restaurant at Bukit Timah that opens much earlier than most cafes, at 7.30am!
[update: the cafe has revised its opening hours to 8.30am.]

Conveniently located next to Botanic Gardens MRT Station, Prairie By Craftsmen has an entrance that's hard to spot and gives no clues on the Insta-worthy interiors. Look out for a narrow path lined with bamboo and a green awning, that's where the cafe is!

The cafe has indoor seats, but the coveted dining spot has to be the beautiful alfresco area decorated with greenery. The glass ceiling with hanging plants adds to the cosy greenhouse vibe.

The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a range of coffees, all created by local coffee shop Craftsmen Specialty Coffee.
Breakfast starts at 7.30am which is almost as early as McDonald's breakfast time. That means those who start work at 9am or later near Botanic Gardens can indulge in a brekkie at this cafe before heading to the office/home. Some options you can look forward to are the Smoked Salmon & Avocado Croissant, Acai Bowl and Prairie Breakfast, a full English breakfast-style dish but with kale pesto and avocado salsa. They also have a variety of croissants in different flavours, muffins and sourdough bread & baguettes sold by the loaf.

Breakfast ends at 11am, which is when the lunch and dinner menu starts. You can expect typical cafe fare including skinny pizzas, pastas, salads, soups, burgers, fish and a selection of desserts. The one above is an Oxtail Stew and below is the Duck Confit.

They also have an extensive coffee menu along with caffeine -free lattes, smoothies, juices and kombucha. You can enjoy happy hour prices from 2 to 8pm on cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, champagne etc.
