Portman's Bar @ PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay: Enjoy Afternoon Tea & Drinks In An Indoor Forest Oasis In The "Sky"
Singaporeans are spoilt for choice when it comes to new cafes in Singapore including a pet-friendly garden cafe at Hortpark, a sakura-filled cafe at Orchard and 14 more new ones that opened this year.
Joining the line-up is a not new but newly renovated Portman's Bar located in PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay offering afternoon tea in a gorgeous forest-like setting.
The hotel is in the process of transforming into a "garden-in-a-hotel", and that includes its revamped bar and restaurant. Designed with a biophilic concept, the restaurant and bar's new look is simply stunning. Greenery is set amidst wooden panels and sculptural pavilions, creating a dramatic architectural look.

Dining in these bird nest-type pavilions would feel like you're in the sky or on top of a tree! The landscape is cast with gentle sunlight from the ceiling skylight mimicking the alfresco dining experience. It is however, an indoor space, so you can enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature without its discomforts like the heat and mosquitoes.

Portman's Bar serves a mix of Asian and Western Cuisine like Braised Hokkien Tiger Prawn Noodles on Opeh Leaf ($26) and Caramelised Grain Fed Wagyu Beef Shortribs ($34).
They also offer Afternoon Tea with a minimum of two diners. The nature-inspired afternoon tea is served in a picnic basket and includes a variety of sweet and savoury bites crafted with floral or nature elements.

Some of the sweet treats include Black Forest Ball, a creamy chocolate with morello cherries and violet flower, and Farm, an edible flower pot with Kyoshu strawberry, mascarpone cheese and "soil" made of Oreo.
