Considering we spend almost a third of our lives at our workplaces (or more for the unfortunate souls who have to OT), having a stylish office environment would definitely contribute to our overall life satisfaction.
Well, there's a an office that we'd all want to spend that third of our lives in: The Mill, a stunning tower-esque office building in Singapore with a Victorian-style cafe.

Hidden among a cluster of inconspicuous office buildings, The Mill is an all-black building resembling a gothic European tower with ornate details and pointed arches.

Designed in collaboration between KRI:EIT Associates and architects James Adams and Swan & Maclaren, the six-storey building is made of two different towers. One is an amalgamation of post-industrial American architectural influences and the other draws inspiration from gothic architecture.

The dramatic facade aside, the building's interior is no less grand. On the ground floor are beautiful black & white wall murals, and some of the tenants may also contribute to the old world aesthetic with vintage cars in the parking spots.

The office units also have a grand design with 6m-high ceilings and 2.4m-tall windows, and the Strata units have a spiral staircase connecting to the upper floors.

When you need a break from work, there's a beautiful all-black garden terrace to relax and people-watch à la Quasimodo from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Some neighbours you'll have while working at The Mill are local fashion label The Editor's Market, artist Cyril Kongo and bespoke men's tailor Kevin Seah.
This stunning tower isn't just worth a visit for the photo opportunities, there's also a new coffee hangout. Alchemist has just opened a new Victorian-style outlet at #02-02 of The Mill, complete with tufted seats, cool architectural details and grand chandeliers. Opening hours are from 9am to 6pm daily.

Feeling like dropping a suggestion to your boss or HR about this office building yet? *wink wink*
