Famous Japanese Soufflé Pancake Cafe Flipper's Pancakes Opens In Singapore Today
Like how the opening of New York's Luke Lobster in Singapore has helped weaned our frustration from the lack of travel, the famous Flipper's Pancakes is also bringing a bit of Japan to our shores for a "holiday" through our tastebuds!
Flipper's Pancakes is a soufflé pancake chain from Japan well known and loved for their ultra light, fluffy and bouncy pancakes that many find worth queueing for. They've now opened a new store in Singapore today.

The new Flipper's Pancakes restaurant in Singapore is located at B1 of Takashimaya. It has a sleek, modern look with arched windows and a cute yellow and grey colour theme.
The eatery has a semi open kitchen concept so you can see the pancake chefs working their magic while you're waiting to dig in.
Their pancake batter is made of Japanese fresh milk, a flour blend with soft "Kitahonami" flour from wheat grown in Hokkaido, and premium AOP-certified French butter. This combination gives their pancakes a light and luscious flavour as well as a soft, cloud-like and melt-in-the-mouth texture.
To keep hygiene standards, Flipper's Pancakes has done away with traditional physical menus and provided QR codes instead which you can scan to see the online menu.
There are six pancake flavours, four sweet, one savoury and one limited edition flavour.
Kiseki Pancake Plain ($17.80)
This is the original edition with three jiggly stacks of soufflé pancakes served with a dollop of maple whipped cream.
