The trailer for the last four episodes of Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 just dropped, and Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie) is back from the dead, because in Wednesday Addams’ world, death is more of a suggestion than a rule.

It opens with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) waking up after Tyler (Hunter Doohan) supposedly threw her out of a window at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital… or did he?

She finds Principal Weems dressed as a nurse, greeting her with, “Rise and shine, sleepyhead! Ready for your sponge bath?” Moments later, they’re in a strange field, standing in front of a random door and a giant gorgon head with a fire in its mouth.

“This isn’t hell, Miss Addams, but I understand the confusion,” Weems tells her. Wednesday shoots back, “If I’m not dead, why are you here?” Weems answers, “Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!”

Later, she finally tells Enid (Emma Myers) the truth she’s been hiding: Tyler wants to kill them both, and she plans to stop him. Enid fires back, “Fix it? You’re the reason he escaped.” Weems agrees with Enid, though no one else can see her.

Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) drops a grim reminder: “Every family has dark chapters, Wednesday.” Wednesday answers, “If there’s ever a time to unburden yourself with the truth, now is it. A life hangs in the balance.”

Weems warns her to move fast or lose everything. Then a voice, that sounds suspiciously like Lady Gaga, delivers the final line: “Beware, there will be a price to pay”. Announced last November, Lady Gaga will appear in Season 2, though her role remains a mystery.

Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 hits Netflix on 3 September.  Bring black lace, sharp wit, and maybe a shovel.
