For Singaporeans who are suffering from wanderlust, there's a new place in town that will temporarily transport you to New York or Washington, DC.
Luke's Lobster is opening today in Singapore at 1pm! First opened in the East Village neighbourhood of Manhattan in New York City, this sustainable seafood restaurant is well-known for their high quality and affordable wild-caught Maine lobsters served in Maine-style rolls.

Located right at the entrance of Isetan Scotts, the 23-seater restaurant (currently 17 after safe distancing) is designed to look like the classic Luke's Lobster seafood shack. Distressed wooden planks add a rustic feel that contrasts with the contemporary design of the mall.
Dine at the regular tables that seat up to 12 or people-watch at a counter-top seat that faces the Orchard Road shopping strip.
Here's a look at the food and prices:
Signature Lobster Roll ($25.50)
Crab Roll ($23.50)
Shrimp Roll ($21.50)
All these full sized rolls are served in U.S. regular size (4 oz, ~113g).
Luke's Trio ($33.50)
If you can't decide which to try, go for this sampler set containing halves of all three rolls.
Luke's Lobster also plans on offering a more affordable Japan size (two-thirds of the 4oz roll) in the future - perfect for those with a smaller appetite!
Lobster Bisque ($12.90)
This side dish is made of pureed lobster, cream, sweet potato, and onion for a velvety base, complete with chunks of sweet Maine lobster knuckle and claw meat.
Clam Chowder ($11.50)
This soup combines potatoes, clam juice, Worcester sauce and heavy cream cooked down to a simmer, finished with fresh clams.
Luke's Homemade Lemonade ($6.50)
Perk up your palate with this refreshingly sweet lemonade.
Garden of Eden Cold Brew Tea ($7.00)
This floral tea has high notes of summer ripened mangoes and passionfruit that complements the buttery rolls with a clean finish.
Green Pomegranate Cold Brew Tea ($7.00)
This tangy tea has a blend of hand-tossed and dried organic green tea with organic raspberries and essence of pomegranate.
There's also a selection of draught beer from Little Creatures (IPA Pint $17.50; Dog Days Pint $16.50) and Hoegaarden (Pint $15.90), as well as wines by the glass, sodas and water served in cans.
Luke's Lobster will also be introducing Grilled Cheese sandwiches filled with crab and lobster soon.
