Sailor Moon has made a comeback for a while now, and many fashion and makeup collaborations have been birthed as a result. If you didn’t manage to get your hands on ColourPop’s Sailor Moon collection even after restocks, Shiseido is here with new Sailor Moon cosmetics to fill that empty space in your heart - and makeup pouch.

Shiseido’s makeup collaboration with Sailor Moon is one that looks more elegant and “grown up” than ColourPop’s. While the latter came with cartoon images of the Sailor Scout and her cat Luna, this has none of that.
Instead, it features plenty of sparkle in the form of star-shaped embellishments, and subtle silhouettes of Usagi. Oh, and expect lots of pink - with a classy metallic sheen.

Only 2 types of products are part of this makeup collection, and both are meant for the face. But what's lacking in quantity is certainly made up for in quality, since Shiseido has always been a top brand for Japanese skincare and cosmetics.
First up is the Dramatic Powdery UV foundation from Shiseido’s Maquillage range, which offers good coverage while protecting you from the sun. This will retail for around JPY3500 (~S$45.47).

Before slapping on your foundation, you’ll want to create a smooth base to work on. Do that with the Dramatic Skin Sensor Base EX (JPY2600, ~S$33.78) which comes in 2 variants, Tone Up and Natural.

You can pre-order both the foundation and the base from Premium Bandai for JPY7150 (~S$92.90), with a free velvety pouch to store your cosmetics in. Pre-orders will only begin on 20 August 2020, with delivery in September.
