Iain Morris, known for The Inbetweeners, will direct the film, while Temple Hill Entertainment will produce it with Laura Quicksilver and George Berman in charge.
The script, initially written by Allison Burnett and updated by Savion Einstein, follows Anna, an ambitious American whose life changes dramatically after meeting a charming local at Oxford University. Caroline Levy will executive produce.
This project marks Carson’s fourth Netflix film in a row, following Purple Hearts, one of Netflix’s most-watched shows of all time. She also served as an executive producer and co-created the film’s hit soundtrack, Come Back Home.
