Mirror, mirror on the wall, are we excited for Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White? Mirror: Duh!
On 9 August at D23, Disney gave fans a first glimpse of its live-action adaptation of Snow White, which will premiere in theatres on 21 March 2025. The new Snow White, Rachel Zegler, and the new Evil Queen, Gal Gadot, were both at D23 to talk about their roles.

Zegler introduced the clip, calling it a nod to the classic. The scene featured her and the dwarves as they sang the iconic Whistle While You Work, with Snow White dancing and cleaning in their house, her high-pitched voice adding a magical touch.
The teaser also showcased other important highlights, including Gadot wearing the crown, interacting with the mirror, and Zegler taking the poison apple from a gnarled hand—clearly Gadot after transforming into the wicked old witch.

Both Zegler and Gadot were also dressed in costumes similar to the 1937 classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White had her famous bob cut, while the Evil Queen wore a tall, pointed crown that covered her hair and a purple dress with long, flowing sleeves.

It’s a lively nod to the beloved original, with just the right amount of magic!
Zegler discussed what it was like to take on the princess character: “It’s been the honour of a lifetime. I think any young person, any little girl if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day, let alone six months, it's just the most amazing experience. I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
“It was a lot of fun to get to do something that is completely different than anything I’ve ever done before,” Gadot said on playing the Evil Queen. “She’s delicious, she’s evil, she’s magical. We got to sing all these different songs. It was incredible.”
