Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

High tea is charming for many reasons: dainty little nibbles, tea in fancy teacups, and elegant interiors to luxuriate in. But couple that with a stunning themed aesthetic and you'll have the most pampering time. We're talking about Conrad Centennial Singapore's too-pretty-to-eat, floral-focused Language of Flowers Afternoon Tea. This seasonal flower-themed special has returned once again!

Executive Pastry Chef Richard Chew and his team have crafted a menu featuring eight exquisite blooms from around the world.

Kicking things of on a high note was the welcome drink, a flower-infused mocktail adorned with dried rose petals. It tasted as good as it looked, with a refreshing blend of rose syrup, vanilla, lemon and ginger ale.

Shortly after, a stunning spread arrived at our table. Gorgeous bite-sized morsels were arranged in a sushi-esque manner on a glass-top tray revealing decorative flowers underneath.

Looking at this display up close, we were even more delighted by the thoughtful floral-themed details embellishing every item.

Fennel was a creamy and tasty treat made with beetroot jelly, Fennel essence, prosciutto di parma and Boursin cheese, while Hibiscus was an airy and clean-tasting beetroot-infused deviled egg tucked into a choux puff.

Resembling a cake, Sakura was actually a mini cucumber sandwich with smoked salmon mousse and citrus cream cheese. We saved the prettiest for the last! Dianthus, designed to look like a mini garden on toast, had a delicious combination of tomato, mozzarella and caramelised onion on a rich avocado spread.

The floral affair continued with the sweets. The Rose tart was filled with almond cream and rose cream with tart hints of strawberry. Saffron had luscious Pain de Gene, saffron ganache and Manuka honey mousse.

Finally, there were Chamomile and Lavender, two light mousse cakes with fragrant floral aromas.

Between the sweets and savouries, we indulged in a free-flow of coffee and palate-cleansing teas. The selection includes classics such as black tea and green tea as well as more unqiue fruit-infused teas.

Of course, the high tea also came with the traditional homemade classic and raisin scones, served nice and warm, with clotted cream and homemade wild strawberry jam.
