Sensory Odyssey: ArtScience Museum's New 360° Exhibition Ft. Immersive Naturescapes With Sounds & Scents
Our ArtScience Museum’s biggest claim to fame is probably Future World by the highly-acclaimed teamLab, but they’ve just upped the ante with yet another immersive experience under their belt. Titled Sensory Odyssey, this new 360° exhibition blends art, technology, and nature to create a wondrous spectacle of sights, sounds, and even smells. Read on to find out more about Sensory Odyssey at ArtScience Museum Singapore.
P.S.: While you're here, check out Chin-Chin, a colourful kukubird-themed exhibition with free entry.

After a successful eight-month tenure at the French National Museum of Natural History in Paris last year, Sensory Odyssey: Into the Heart of Our Living World is now landing in Singapore for its first-ever appearance in Asia come May 2023.

Through special large-scale projections with hyper-realistic naturescapes, ambient sounds that match the scenes, and custom-blended fragrances that closely mimic those you’d encounter in real-life landscapes, this mesmerising exhibition will take you on a wild and wondrous journey through seven different ecosystems across the world.

Brace your nostrils for the scent of damp wood wafting through the air as you traipse through a thick forest, swim with a school of majestic whales in Mauritius, “shrink” to minuscule proportions to burrow through the ground before coming face to face with seemingly giant insects, and so much more.

You’ll also be traversing far-off terrains such as the savannas of Africa, and the icy glacier-filled landforms of Greenland - places you may not necessarily even get to visit in person in this lifetime. These multi-sensory HD scenes will all make for great faux travel photos, so you’d want to have a good camera on hand - you might just have your friends fooled with your snaps.

Another highlight we know you’ll adore for its aesthetic appeal is the Echolocation zone - a dark, mysterious cave illuminated by streaks of light, with bats going about their food hunts.

Photo opportunities aside, Sensory Odyssey is as educational and mind-opening as it is fun and interactive, and by the end of your voyage, you’ll be gaining a deeper understanding and awareness on ecological issues and how crucial it is for us to help protect this Earth that we share with other living organisms.
