Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

There's something about glamping that feels exciting, like you're being thrown into the wilderness, yet also luxurious and pampering with all the comforts of a hotel room. If that's your idea of an ideal staycation, Singapore Zoo's Glamping in the Wild may be just what you need as an escape from this concrete jungle.

After its successful debut last year, the glamping programme is making its comeback this April with a refreshed line-up of activities.

P.S. River Wonders' popular Glamping with the Manatees is also back and available from April through August this year.

The day starts with a feeding session with Asian Elephants, followed by a backstage pass to the Wildlife Nutrition Centre and the Wildlife Healthcare and Research Centre to learn about how the animals are kept in the pink of health.

Next up is a trip to the Wild Africa zone to visit carnivorous animals, and then the Splash Safari presentation where you'll have the best view of the Californian Sea Lion in priority seats.

After dinner at Forest Lodge, cosy up in your dome tent that's right by Upper Seletar Reservoir so you'll be lulled to sleep and gently awakened with the calming sounds of nature.
