Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

Holidays abroad might be back on, but staycations will always be a good idea for a refreshing break from life. Marriott Bonvoy's Tribute Portfolio has given us a new staycation option at their latest hotel - The Serangoon House.

Located in Little India, the 2-star hotel has plenty to see and do nearby from spice shops and jewellery stores to trendy cafes like SYIP.

It's owned by The Garcha Group, the hotel group behind dining establishments like Shikar, Cultivate Cafe and Isabel Bar. All three have that signature opulent and ornate style that's also on full display at The Serangoon House, which has a strikingly luxurious aesthetic inspired by Indian colonial design.

The lobby itself is a treat for the eyes, decorated with custom made porcelain chandeliers, green and white marble mosaic flooring and velvet banquette seats.

All 90 rooms of The Serangoon House have princess-worthy two-tiered canopy beds. Each of these bespoke beds is lovingly handmade with Baroque-style ornamentation and finished with gold detailing.
