New Garden Pod Hotel At Gardens By The Bay: Have A Scenic Staycation Amidst Nature In A Shipping Container

Thinking of having a staycation soon? Instead of booking a room at the usual hotel and resort hotspots, check out this newly launched shipping container hotel nestled within the Serene Garden at Gardens by the Bay.

Dubbed the Garden Pod, this zen hotel concept houses four duplex suites - Maple, Jasmine, Juniper and Bamboo - that can sleep up to four guests each.

Every pod features floor-to-ceiling windows, a sculptural spiral staircase that connects both levels, and private patios that offer beautiful views of the Singapore city skyline and lush greenery, making it an incredibly cosy and unique space to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

While each of these duplexes goes up to only 70 square metres, they certainly don’t skimp on the essentials. Each pod is outfitted with amenities such as an en-suite bathroom, a king bed and a queen Murphy bed on the second floor, while the first floor features a living room with TV, a modern kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas.

What’s more, each bedroom welcomes you with the scents of flora and tea from luxury fragrance house Maison de L'Asie’s Chapter 01 parfum d'interieur, which soothes and refreshes the room's ambience.

To add to the experience, the shipping container hotel incorporates sustainability into its elements as well. The upper floors of each duplex were designed from repurposed 40-foot containers and donned with photovoltaic panels to power the space. The hotel also provides upcycled room staples such as drinking glasses and unique-looking coasters.

New dates for booking are released every month, and check-in is done through a virtual front desk where you will have to download the Shipping Container Hotel app to check into the hotel and get access to the room keys.

A one-night stay starts from $450, and check-in and check-out are at 3pm and 11am respectively.
