Trending Bread Animal Toys By Japanese Artist Are Now Available To Shop Online In Singapore
What happens when bread becomes a sentient being? That's a question that no one asked but was answered anyway by Japanese felt artist Atelier Hatena who created a series of felt figures that look like bread with legs.
After trending wildly on Twitter in Japan, these quirky creations were turned into affordable capsule toys that are available to shop online in Singapore.

Japanese felt artist Atelier Hatena is best known for her surreal handmade pieces made of wool felt that look like actual butterflies, ants and mushrooms. One particular project that got extra attention are the figures titled Living Bread created in 2020.

These curious little felt pieces look like assorted bread from top down, but switch to a different angle and you'll see four little legs sticking out under each of them!

These strange animal bread figures were a hit among Twitter users in Japan and the wool felt pieces quickly sold out. Thankfully, its popularity has led to it being made into affordable capsule toys so the masses can also have a version of this work of art.
There are six designs to collect, each resembling a different type of bread, albeit with legs, including a croissant, melonpan and baguette.
