Stepping into Café Gavroche will transport you into one of those charming, quaint cafes you chance upon in the streets of Paris.
The interior has an old-world charm reminiscent of how Paris is often portrayed in films like Amélie and Paris, je t'aime. Wall murals, mosaic tile floors, panelled walls, large mirrors and French typography and signs all create a romantic Parisian dining experience.
One of the dining sections is particularly reminiscent of Parisian streets, with vintage French posters, a street lamp and even cobblestone floors.
The sister brand of the nearby restaurant Brasserie Gavroche, Café Gavroche also offers Parisian cuisine. If you're there for a light meal, go for their tartines like the Smoked Pork Belly with Reblochon Cheese ($18) and Avocado Toast with Smoked Salt and Arugula ($14).
For something more filling, go for their sandwiches like Croque-Monsieur ($16), a sandwich with baked ham, Emmental cheese and béchamel sauce, Planche de Fromages ($26), a French cheese platter with dried fruits and walnuts, or one of their comfort dishes like soup and stews.
On weekends, the cafe serves rustic and hearty breakfasts with freshly- baked croissants, pastries, French jams and egg dishes.
They also have an extensive beverage menu including aperitifs, wines, beers, vodkas, gin, ciders and rum from France and other parts of the world, Alain Millat French fruit juices, coffees and teas by TWG Tea.
