#1 Rinse your mouth after eating food & drinks that stain your teeth

The common culprits are coffee, red wine, soda, beets and dark berries. ☕️ But that doesn't mean you have to give them up entirely. Enjoy these foods and drinks in moderation and don't munch or sip on it continuously for a period of time. Try to finish it quickly and rinse your mouth with water right afterward.

While brushing your teeth right after seems like a good idea, it could wear out the enamel. Try to wait 30 minutes before brushing! You could also drink these beverages with a straw to prevent direct contact with your teeth. Go for a reusable straw to stay eco-friendly.

#2 Eat more calcium-rich foods

This is something you've learnt as a child and here's a quick reminder! Foods rich in calcium include milk, cheese, and broccoli, all of which may help protect your teeth from discolouring and enamel erosion.

#3 Eat fruits and raw vegetables at the end of a meal

If brushing your teeth after every meal is a hassle, especially on work days, you can eat crunchy fruits and raw vegetables at the end of every meal. ??

These foods have a high water content which helps dilute any sugars you've eaten and stimulate the flow of saliva. While chewing on these foods, it may help remove food particles that are stuck in your teeth and rub plaque away.

#4 Brush & floss the right way

This good old fashion method works well. Brush your teeth gently in a circular motion for two minutes at a time, making sure you get into all the cracks and crevices. ?

Flossing prevents the formation of plaque which makes your teeth look dull and darker. The right way to floss is actually to slide it all the way into the space between your gums and your tooth.
