Dozens of fires have been erupting in New South Wales, Australia since last November and roughly 25.5 million acres have been burned.

Thousands of homes have been destroyed and the crisis has taken an enormous toll on the wildlife in Australia too. A professor estimated that a billion animals had died in Australia's wildfires! ?

Leonardo DiCaprio's environmental organisation, Earth Alliance, will donate $3 million to wildfire relief efforts to assist with critical firefighting efforts, aid local communities most affected by the wildfires, enable wildlife rescue and recovery, and support the long term restoration of unique ecosystems.

Chris Hemsworth

Chris Hemsworth and his family donated $1 million to relief and recovery efforts in Australia. The Australian actor added in his Instagram post's caption that "every penny counts" and encouraged people to "make a difference".

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Australian actress Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban, an Australian singer-songwriter, have pledged a $500,000 donation to Rural Fire Services.

Jay Park

Jay Park has donated $30,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service. In his tweet, he told fans to "pray for Australia" and hoped that his donation "helps somewhat".

BLACKPINK's Rosé grew up in Melbourne, Australia and has expressed concern over the raging bushfires. In her Instagram post, she revealed that she is "heartbroken for the people and homes suffering from the fires and the millions of innocent and beautiful wildlife creatures that are injured and dying right now".

She also stated that she will try her best to support and urged her fans to visit the links she included to see how they can help.

Stray Kids' Bang Chan 


Stray Kids' leader, Bang Chan, posted on Instagram and revealed that he and Felix (fellow Australian group member) are "having a hard time being aware that Australia is under fatal circumstances".

He also thanked his "friends, families and STAYs (fans) that are doing whatever they can to help out".

Hilary Duff posted on Instagram and said that she and her husband are "coming up with a number that [they] feel comfortable with to donate" and will keep her followers posted on that.

Ellen DeGeneres tweeted that she has donated to three organisations. She has also set up a GoFundMe page to raise $5 million and $1.6 million have been raised thus far.

Steve Irwin's children - Bindi and Robert Irwin

Bindi Irwin posted on Instagram that their Wildlife Hospital is "busier than ever" and that they have "officially treated over 90,000 patients".

Robert Irwin posted on Instagram to thank "Australia's incredible firefighters" and encouraged fellow Australians to "band together and lend a hand in crisis".
