Surrey Hills Grocer has opened its latest and most impressive outlet yet. Hidden in a corner on the 3rd floor of VivoCity, the restaurant recreates an idyllic forest paradise that's filled with aesthetic greenery and cute animals in air-conditioned comfort. The design team has spared no detail, including plant decor native to Australia and larger-than-life statues and animatronics of iconic Australian animals. There are koalas hugging the pillars, flamingos basking in the sun, owls perched atop trees and a kangaroo that moves. Your real furry friends are welcome to dine with you indoors and there's even a dedicated pet menu made with nutritious, human-grade ingredients.

The outlet-exclusive menu features freshly handcrafted pastas and authentic Roman pizzas as well as thoughtfully crafted kids dishes. First timers can go for some of the sure-hits like Hot Honey Pepperoni ($12), a pizza topped with creamy ricotta, pepperoni and spicy honey sauce. Another one worth trying is the Mee Siam Capellini ($22) that combines an authentic mee siam sauce with silky pasta and crispy tempura squid. For dessert, indulge in the Classic Sticky Date Pudding ($16) that's oh-so moist, complemented by creamy vanilla ice cream and rich sea salt butterscotch.

#2 Puzzle Coffee at Dempsey Hill

Puzzle Coffee's latest outpost has arrived at the idyllic Dempsey Hill. Housed within a gorgeous black-and-white bungalow, the expansive cafe is reminiscent of a cosy yet upscale pottery studio with high ceilings and a warm, earthy palette. It's worth the journey there if you're in the mood for out-of-Singapore vibes and hearty food dishes which are exclusive to this outlet.
When in doubt, you can't go wrong with the Reuben Toastie ($20), a generously sized sandwich that'll fill you up and leave you super satisfied. Between sourdough bread are chunks of fatty, tender beef brisket, elevated with sauerkraut and gruyère cheese. stacks. Another dish that's sure to be a hit is the beautifully plated Buttermilk Pancakes ($25). Three thicc and dense pancakes are layered with jam and topped with a mountain of rich cheesecake mousse. Balancing all the decadent flavours and textures are hints of zest and fresh fruit. If you're more of a pasta person, go for the Prawn Linguine ($30), a delightfully light and fragrant pasta dish with juicy prawns, cherry tomatoes and lilliput capers. If you don't have space for dessert, make some, because the Matcha Lava Cake ($22) is worth it, you'll see!

#3 Open Farm Community's Refreshed Menu

Open Farm Community (OFC) has introduced a refreshed menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. Presented as sharing plates for communal dining, the menu items include refreshing appetisers including the silky Stracciatella ($28) paired with figs and house-cured duck prosciutto. Another crowd-pleaser is the Red Snapper Ceviche ($24) dressed in a citrusy sauce with Tamarillo, the tangier and sweeter cousin of the tomato, straight from the on-site farm.

For mains, the Hay-Smoked Chicken ($65) is perfect for when you're craving something familiar yet new as it has an aromatic twist with laksa chimichurri. To finish, go for the Deconstructed Tiramisu ($19), a fancy-looking dessert that features Kahlua-soaked sponge and coffee-infused jelly. For a true farm-to-table experience, pair your grub with garden cocktails made using fresh herbs and flowers from the farm.

#4 Fourgather's New Menu

Homegrown Thai restaurant, Fourgather, has revamped its menu to include fun new dishes that are just as delicious and creatively presented as its debut menu.
A must-try is the Creamy Lava Egg ($15.90 - $35.90), a simple yet luscious dish that can be customised to your liking. It comes with a choice of protein - chicken, minced pork, crispy pork belly, prawns, seafood, Jumbo crab lump - which can be stir-fried with Thai basil or garlic. After that, take your pick from five spice levels. The main star, however, is the silky, lava-like soft-scrambled eggs poured over rice.
Something that'll be a treat for the 'gram and your palate is the Pinto Thai Rice Porridge ($23.90/set for two, $52.90/set for four). A nod to the Thai Pinto lunchbox tradition, this dish comes with a pot of Pandan Jasmine Rice Porridge and side dishes, decorated with an old-school tiffin carrier. There's a wide variety of side dishes to choose from including Fish Sausage Salad Yum and Thai Garlic Lime Pork.
These two dishes will be available from 3pm on weekdays and from 11:30am on weekends.

#5 Wo Wo Dian's Autumn Menu

Wo Wo Dian, the Mianyang steamed bun and rice noodles specialist, has launched a spice-packed new Autumn menu with more than 16 seasonal dishes.
A standout is the trio of Fresh Chilli Chicken Bun ($6.90) that arrives piping hot in a bamboo basket. The pillowy soft buns are filled with flavour-packed chicken and oodles of fresh ground chilli. Other sharing dishes worth trying are the ingot-shaped Signature Golden Crispy Wantons ($9.90) with satisfyingly crunchy fried skin, and the silky and luscious Double Blessing Yuan Yang Century Eggs ($9.90). Seafood lovers can indulge in the Chinese Red Sour Soup Seafood Pot ($29.90) that has a generous serving of juicy prawns, clams, squid and enoki mushroom in a rich tomato broth.
