Fourgather Is An Eclectic New Thai Restaurant In Telok Ayer Offering Modern Thai Street Food
Haven't we all had cravings for legit Thai food every now and then? Well, the next time it happens, we can now get those cravings satiated at a stylish new Thai restaurant in Singapore - Fourgather. This vibrant dining destination in Amoy Hotel at Telok Ayer not only serves up authentic and modern Thai street food, it does it in an eclectic heritage space that promises to whisk diners away to Bangkok.
Its name is a reference to how it was founded, playing on the words 'foregather' and 'four'. Once upon a circuit-breaker-time, a group of four friends started a home-based Thai street food delivery service, Arai Gor Mee. After amassing a sizeable customer base, they took the next step and opened a restaurant!
Ambience at Fourgather
Getting inside the restaurant has its own quirky charm as its entrance is through Fuk Tak Chi Museum, an iconic building that was once the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore.
Inside, diners will be treated to a Bangkok-esque setting, with bright pops of colour, mismatching furniture and decor pieces sourced from Thailand.

Food at Fourgather
A café by day and buzzy hangout spot by night, Fourgather offers hearty Thai food expertly prepared by a team of Thai chefs specially flown in to handle the wok.
The menu is developed by Fourgather's Thai Head Chef Consultant, May Chaya, who has a wealth of experience and knowledge from the street food scene in Thailand. Expect classics from tom yum soup and refreshing salads to rice and noodle dishes.
A must-order is the Green Curry Chicken with Roti ($15.90). Elevated yet packed with aromatic Thai-style flavours, this wholesome curry is a delight on its own, with rice or dipped with the super crispy roti prata.

Fourgather seems to always be on point when it comes to food presentation, but a particularly photo-worthy dish is the Thai Watermelon Salad ($16.90) that features watermelon cubes stacked into a tower and decorated with garnishing. Piquant, spicy and refreshing all at once, this was quite the addictive palate cleanser!

The Clear Soup with Vegetable & Tofu ($14.90) was an unexpected highlight of the meal. Deceptively simple, this comforting bowl of goodness has a light but hearty broth complete with homemade meatballs, egg tofu, vegetables and glass noodles.

Other standout dishes were the Prawn & Egg Fried Rice ($15.90) which had a good wok hei taste, and the uber tender Fourgather Matchstick Wings ($11.90 for 10pcs) that are well-marinated to the bone and served with chunks of crispy fried garlic.
