Has severe RBF but is fairly jolly and carefree on the inside. Degree of life satisfaction is heavily influenced by food.

A new concept by The Brewerkz Group, Jiak Kim House is a dining destination set in a beautiful 1920s conservation warehouse along the iconic Singapore river. It's nestled in Frasers Property Singapore's integrated precinct with Fraser Residence River Promenade and luxury residential development Rivière.

Inspired by the storied past of its unique location, Jiak Kim House offers innovative Modern Asian cuisine by Chef-Partner Seow Tzi Qin (Chef TQ) in an atmospheric venue.

The gorgeous 120-seater restaurant features distinct scallop-shaped ‘pediment’, original timbre trusses lining the double-height ceiling, and banquette seating against old-fashioned louvered panels.

Chef TQ has conjured up a menu of hearty Southeast Asian dishes with contemporary and unexpected twists.

To start of with a fun medley of flavours, get the Tingkat of Memories ($36) that has four dishes served in a traditional four-tier ‘ting kat’. From the lightest to heaviest flavours to eat in order are 7-Herb Crab Cake with Assam Mayo dip, Lamb Goulash Croquette with mint coriander coulis, Chilli Crab Pie Tee and Tri-coloured Otak Otak.

The standout item to order is the bak kut teh-inspired Mushroom Herbal Tea ‘Macchiato’ ($22). This quirky dish looks like a hot chocolate but it's actually a comforting mushroom soup with a light peppery flair and fragrant notes of herbs and spices. Enjoy it on its own or dip the dough fritters in to soak up all that goodness.

For mains, our pick is the Kam Heong Sambal Grouper ($40). It comes with a tender Tiger Grouper fillet with a satisfying sambal, complemented with a piquant mangosteen salsa and fragrant cilantro rice.

A dessert with wow-factor is Jiak Kim ($22). For those who don't speak Hokkien, the name of this sweet treat means 'eat gold', which clues you in on what it's embellished with - gold foil! Beyond the fancy facade are layers of roselle hawthorn jelly, velvety earl grey mousse, and tangy Berriolette compote on a namelaka chocolate cream base.

To pair with the bold flavours of the food is a selection of handcrafted beverages like Emperor State ($26), a unique cocktail concocted with homemade durian liqueur.

The restaurant also houses a dedicated in-house floral atelier that conjures up exquisite customised flower arrangements.
