Puzzle Coffee: Popular Melbourne Cafe Is Now In Singapore With Edible Cups, Biscoff Latte & More
If there is one thing Melbourne is famous for, it’s coffee. After all, the city is nicknamed the coffee capital of the world. So, consider us caffeine lovers in Singapore lucky, for there is a new cafe in town hailing from this Australian coffee haven, where one can expect top-notch cups of joe like in Melbourne.

Puzzle Coffee is a popular coffeehouse from Australia’s cultural capital that has four outlets to its name. Singapore’s ION Orchard is its fifth location and first international outpost. Here, its coffee beans are roasted weekly in Melbourne and delivered fresh directly to Singapore.

Its cosy shop seats 20 and channels a minimalist appearance with wood accents and earthy tones, exuding a warm and inviting atmosphere. But the space isn’t only about aesthetics. Since Puzzle Coffee is big on sustainability, all the furniture and wall cladding in this space are made from recycled, up-cycled or repurposed materials.

Its eco-friendly efforts don't stop there, though. This Melbournian import has compostable and biodegradable coffee cups and straws that are plastic-free and made from plant pulp. Even the cups you get for iced drinks are fully created from trees!

Plus, it has edible cups made from oats and grains, which you can get with a top-up of $3 with any hot drink. Don’t worry about the cups dissolving, as they are incredibly sturdy and make for a good snack after you’ve downed your beverage.

Its menu features the classics such as White coffee (from $6), single-origin Black coffee (from $5) and a sweet Mocha (from $6.50). You can also find well-loved signatures from Melbourne, such as the Dirty Matcha (from $7) and secret Magic ($6), a double ristretto topped with steamed milk that is not even officially listed on the Australian menu but well-known amongst Melbournians.

Look forward to other specialty drinks as well, such as the Black Sesame Latte (from $6), Biscoff Latte (from $6.50), and the Singapore-exclusive Purple Sweet Potato Latte (from $6.50).

Non-coffee and tea lovers aren't forgotten, as there are three refreshing fruit teas (from $5.50) on the menu - Raspberry & Peach Green Tea, Jasmine & Orange Green Tea, and Strawberry & Pink Pepper Fruit Infusion - as well as Hot Chocolate (from $6.50).

Feeling peckish? Pick up some fresh bakes from Bakery Asian Original (BAO) from the display case at the counter to pair with your fragrant cuppas. Fixed flavours include the classic Croissant, Kaya Croissant, Pear Crumble Danish and Almond Choc Croissant, with prices ranging between $2.50 and $5. Other pastries are rotational, so there’s always something different for you to try each time you visit.
