'Among Us' Animated Series Announces Star-Studded Voice Cast
Remember when everyone was playing Among Us at home during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020? Well, now they're turning it into an animated series, and the star-studded cast has just been announced!

Randall Park from Fresh Off The Boat, Ashley Johnson from The Last of Us, Yvette Nicole Brown from Community, and Elijah Wood from The Lord of the Rings trilogy are all set to voice characters. This adaptation is being developed by CBS Studios' animation division, Eye Animation Productions, in partnership with Innersloth, the independent game studio.

Park will be voicing Red, the eager-to-please, talkative captain of the ship. Johnson brings Purple to life, the ship's skeptical and witty head of security. Brown will be playing Orange, the HR head, and Wood portrays Green, the ship's unpaid intern.

About Among Us
The animated series is likely to follow a plot similar to the video game. If you're new to the game, Among Us is all about teamwork – finishing tasks and catching the bad guys: Impostors. Players get to pick from a bunch of colours and accessories for their cartoon astronaut characters on a spaceship. Some players are Impostors whose job is to secretly take out other crew mates without getting caught. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew works together to finish tasks and vote out anyone they suspect of being an Impostor.

Since its launch in 2018, Among Us been a hit with over 500 million monthly players. In October 2020, it dominated the charts, reaching No. 1 on Google Play in 66 countries and landing in the top 100 pretty much everywhere else. It was also a powerhouse on iOS, taking the top spot in 55 countries and making it into the top 100 in most others. Last year October, Innersloth revealed a new map called The Fungle, and people are still diving in every day!
