#1 Queen of Tears (9 March 2024)

One of the most eagerly awaited K-dramas of 2024, Queen of Tears, features a stellar cast including Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Ji-won, Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Lee Joobeen. The story revolves around Hong Hae-in, heir to a major department store empire, and Baek Hyeon-u, whose family dominates the supermarket industry. Despite being married for only three years, their relationship is strained. However, they are presented with an opportunity for a fresh start. The series will consist of 16 episodes, with each episode releasing weekly on Netflix.

In the upcoming Korean comedy series Chicken Nugget adapted from a webtoon, a bizarre incident unfolds when a woman transforms into a chicken nugget after stepping into a peculiar machine. Now, her father and best friend embark on a journey to reverse the unexpected transformation. Starring Ryu Seung-ryong, Ahn Jae-hong, and Kim Yoo-jung. 

#3 Parasyte: The Grey (5 April 2024)

Hitoshi Iwaaki's manga Parasyte, which was previously adapted into a 2015 anime series and two live-action Japanese movies, is now getting a Korean adaptation. Director Yeong Sang-ho, known for his work on JUNG_E and Hellbound, is set to direct this series titled Parasyte: The Grey. This story tells of parasites from space invading Earth, seeking to control humans for power. Jung Soo-in becomes infected with one of these parasites, leading to an unusual coexistence as it struggles to dominate her brain. The cast of Parasyte: The Grey features Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, Lee Jung-hyun, Kwon Hae-hyo, and Kim In-kwon. With its new approach, the upcoming Korean series promises to be one of the most exciting manga adaptations of all time.

#4 The 8 Show (Q2 2024)

Adapted from the webtoon series Money Game and Pie Game by Bae Jin-soo, The 8 Show centres around eight individuals who voluntarily participate in a TV game show. The catch? They find themselves confined within an eight-story building as the game unfolds. What initially appears to be a typical TV competition takes a dark turn as the challenges grow increasingly sinister. With each advancement in the game, the contestants earn more money, but they soon realise that The 8 Show is more than just a game—it's a social experiment pushing them to their limits. The series features a star-studded cast including Ryu Jun-yeol, Chun Woo-hee, Park Jeong-min, Lee Yul-eum, Park Hae-joon, Lee Zoo-young, Moon Jeong-hee, and Bae Seong-woo.

#5 Sweet Home Season 3 (Q2 2024)

Great news for Sweet Home fans! After a three-year wait since season 2, season 3 is finally on its way to Netflix. This upcoming season promises an exciting finale, with Yi-kyung returning as a half-human, half-monster and Eun-hyeok's transformation into a monster potentially posing a threat as he reunites with Eun-yu. Song Kang, Lee Jin-uk, Lee Si-young, Lee Do-hyun, Ko Min-si, Park Gyu-young, Jinyoung, Yoo Oh-seong, and more will all be back for Sweet Home season 3.


#6 Resident Playbook (Q2 2024)

The 2020 hit medical K-drama Hospital Playlist, is getting a spinoff titled Resident Playbook. While it shares the same hospital setting as its predecessor, Resident Playbook will introduce a fresh set of characters: OB-GYN residents at the Jongno Yulje Medical Center. The series features Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-a, Kang You-seok, Han Ye-ji, and Jung Jun-won. Whether familiar faces from Hospital Playlist will make appearances in the new series remains uncertain.

#7 Hierarchy (Q2 2024)
