IU And Park Bo-gum To Star In New Netflix K-Drama 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'
Korean drama fans, get ready for an exciting new K-drama on Netflix! The popular streaming platform has just announced that IU and Park Bo-gum will be starring in a new K-drama titled When Life Gives You Tangerines (working title). The upcoming drama will be directed by Kim Won-suk, recognised for his outstanding work to dramas like My Mister, Signal, and Arthdal Chronicles. The upcoming series will also highlight the expertise of acclaimed producer Kim Won-suk (known for Misaeng: Incomplete Life, Signal, My Mister) and screenwriter Lim Sang-chun (notable for Becky’s Back, Fight for My Way, When the Camellia Blooms).

The upcoming series features an impressive cast lineup, including IU, a renowned actress and singer in the industry. IU collaborated with director Kim Won-suk in the acclaimed drama My Mister, which was one of the best dramas of the year. The singer-actress will play the role of Ae-sun, a rebel with unwavering determination, constantly challenging her destiny. Park Bo Gum, known for his roles in Reply 1988, Record of Youth, and Encounter, is also part of the cast. He plays a character named Gwan-sik, a hardworking guy with a calm personality who has secretly been in love with Ae-sun since they were young. Joining them are Moon So-ri, from Queenmaker, and Park Hae-joon, known for The World of the Married; they will portray the older versions of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik.
