Just when we thought we couldn't love Meow Barbecue any more, the BBQ joint brought out an aww-inducing new initiative. From 7 November to 31 December, the restaurant will pledge to feed a stray cat for a day with every order of the Meow Platter-In-A-Can, a meat platter served in a giant cat food tin.
P.S. if you're a cat lover, check out Meownistry of Meow, an affordable co-working space with cats!
The Meow Barbecue team has spared no details when it comes to the platter design. Even when closed, it undeniably looks like canned cat food that's big enough to feed a tiger. Pry open the giant pull tab, like you would with an actual tin can, to reveal the meat inside!
There's even a dry ice effect adding on to the theatrics.

Besides the good will for stray cats and social media-friendly presentation, the Meow Platter-In-A-Can will also let diners try six of Meow Barbecue's most popular meats:
- Meow Signature Spicy Beef: Grain-fed 129-day-old sliced beef marinated with pickled chillies
- Premium Iberico Pork Belly: Spain-imported pork with a simple but satisfying salt & pepper seasoning
- Black Pepper Pork Chop: Juicy marinated pork
- Meow Signature Chicken with Szechuan Peppers: Tender chicken with green peppercorns and a secret house-made chilli mix
- Diamond Cut Marinated Beef Ribs: Irregular diamond-shaped beef marinated with an in-house secret sauce
- Meow Signature Beef Cubes with Onion: Marinated oyster blade beef cubes on petals of onion

The Meow Platter-In-A-Can will be available from 7 November for $66 (UP: $88).
For every order of this platter, Meow Barbecue will donate Jinny cat food products to Project Luni, a non-governmental organisation that helps Singapore's street cats.

Those craving something more carby and filling can add on the Spicy Mala Shredded Potato ($3.80). A new addition to the menu, these crunchy noodle-like potatoes have a refined numbing spice that slowly builds and burns, but has an addictive kick that'll keep you reaching for more.
