All-Female Heist Movie: Ocean’s 8 To Be Released In Singapore On 14 June 2018

Following the release of the movie Ocean's 8 on 8 June 2018, Singapore will air the movie on 14 June 2018. Ocean's 8 is a spin-off of the Ocean's Trilogy, from Ocean's Eleven in 2001, Ocean's Twelve in 2004 and Ocean's Thirteen in 2007. Now we have Ocean's 8, but why 8...the date...? In any case, be the first few to catch it!

At a press conference for Ocean's 8 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, seven of the eight cast members appeared at the conference alongside Director Gary Ross and Screenwriter Olivia Milch. From the left: Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Mindy Kaling. Whose the missing co-star? "Isn't it interesting — two or three years, this seemed like an impossibility. Like, how could we possibly get this made? And it's so great that it's being released now, and you go, 'Well, of course.' A lot has shifted," Blanchett revealed.

The cast of the film discussed the novelty of an all-women heist movie, their thoughts and how impossible they thought the script was.
"I thought it was a fun idea. I didn't at the time think the movie would get made," Sandra Bullock mentioned.

“To an 8-year-old girl, maybe we're not trying to say, 'Go have a life of crime,'” Anne Hathaway explained, “But we're saying, ‘Go do what you want, there's space for you.' She advocated for the message of 'everybody in'  and commended it for showcasing a variety of perspectives.

“One thing we're also saying in that 8-year-old girl moment is — and there's nothing wrong with it — but you don't have to grow up to be a princess,” Director Gary Ross added.
