Chinatown Is Now Decorated With Rabbit-Themed Light-Ups For Chinese New Year 2023
The annual CNY light-ups at Chinatown is here! This new edition features the rabbit, this year's zodiac animal.
The lights start at the junction of Upper Cross Street and New Bridge where there's a 10m-tall centrepiece of a multi-generational rabbit family reuniting for the Chinese New Year.

More lights hang overhead along New Bridge Road, South Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street, and for the first time, Upper Cross Street.

Those driving through the roads will get a close up views of the dioramas of colourful rabbits, trees and CNY elements.

Chinatown will also be hosting a Countdown Party taking place at Kreta Ayer Square on Chinese New Year Eve, 21 January 2023. Broadcasted live on Channel 8 from 10.30pm, the party features a line-up of performances from Mediacorp artistes.
The Festive Fair is also back! Visitors can browse through 280 stalls selling festive goods spanning Smith Street, Pagoda Street, Trengganu Street and Temple Street.
And after all the celebrations are over, the public can bring home one of the lanterns on display as part of the 'Adopt A Lantern' initiative.
The Chinatown Chinese New Year celebrations at Chinatown will run till 19 February 2023.
