Little Twin Stars-Themed Hotel Rooms In Japan Have Pretty Pastel Decor & Exclusive Take-Home Amenities
With Japan being the birthplace of Hello Kitty, it’s not at all surprising that there are multiple Sanrio-themed hotels scattered across the country. One of the more famous ones is Keio Plaza Hotel Tama in Tokyo with its Hello Kitty decor, but what you may not know is that within the same building, there are also fairly new Little Twin Stars hotel rooms with the prettiest pastel tones.

Keio Plaza Hotel Tama first debuted their Hello Kitty-themed rooms in 2014, but it was only until mid-2019 that they expanded their Sanrio collaboration to include other characters, namely My Melody and Little Twin Stars. The former has a bright green garden sort of theme going on, but the one we’ve fallen in love with is the latter, which has a dreamy celestial concept.

All the walls and even the ceiling are clad in pastel art, with motifs like stars, the moon, and rainbows. Adorning the space above the beds’ cloud headboard is a large 3D embellishment featuring the star siblings atop their unicorn, riding their way to a magical carnival with a carousel and castle.

The hotel didn’t simply stick on some wall decals and call it a day; Everything has been thoughtfully designed to represent the cherubic Sanrio characters, from the bed runners, to the star-shaped cushions and curtain binders, and even the TV console cabinet!

It’s often the little touches that make a whole lot of difference, and Keio Plaza Hotel Tama has fully scored on this aspect. In fact, the themed experience will start even right before you enter, with a 3D star decorating your door. Even the “do not disturb” signs are super cute, you’d be tempted to take them home!
Well, we’re not sure about pocketing the door sign, but the good news is that you do get to take home quite an armful of complimentary exclusive merchandise!

At time of writing, prices for a 1-night stay are fixed at JPY60,500 (~S$592.63) for 2 pax, which works out to about $296 per person. Each room can fit a maximum of 3 guests, with extra beds available with a top-up.
