Come September this year, you’d want to make Sentosa your favourite weekend hangout. Singapore’s well-loved island resort will be welcoming Central Beach Bazaar, a day-to-night beach carnival experience complete with three new attractions and a fresh multi-F&B concept.

Keep your eyes peeled for the new 80-metre-tall Sentosa SkyJet—the tallest fountain in Southeast Asia. Perched afloat an open-sea platform, it was created to complement the Wings of Time outdoor night show’s symphony of water jets, laser light projections, and pyrotechnics. Expect LED lights to illuminate the streams of water for a colourful and majestic spectacle in the evening sky.

For nostalgia’s sake, Sentosa’s famous Musical Fountain will be returning in a modern iteration. A throwback to the early 1980s, the daytime Sentosa Musical Fountain will run from the existing site of the Wings of Time show, comprising two curated 5-minute performances.

One will showcase a score of musical numbers that were played back in the day from the 1990s, like Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, and Walking on Sunshine; while the other will feature a medley of the nation’s beloved National Day songs like Home and Count on Me Singapore.

Whether you’re enjoying the Musical Fountain by day or watching the newly upgraded Wings of Time performance, be sure to satiate your belly with some food. The bazaar will be home to the International Food Street, a collection of eight F&B concepts housed in a mix of food trucks, kombi vans and upcycled shipping containers. Each kiosk will present delicious grab-and-go street food cuisines inspired by cities like London, Tokyo, and Mexico. Prices will be kept affordable under $10.

Must-tries include Chipper Roll, a British-themed kiosk, which serves classic English delights like lobster rolls, bangers and mash, and sausage platters; as well as Taco Pau, which will feature Mexican favourites with a twist like Tandoori Chicken tortillas and Chicken Chili Con Carne quesadillas.

Come dressed up in your best #OOTDs as photo opportunities will be plenty. These shipping containers are designed in a distinctive Memphis-style, featuring eclectic splash of bright colours and bold structural patterns.

Light shows aside, the bazaar, which is footsteps away from Sentosa’s Beach Station, will also offer a mix of interactive simulation ride experiences and carnival games suitable for both the young and old.
