New KFC Installation In Singapore With Free Entry: All Visitors Get A Drink & Freebies Like Merchandise & Vouchers
Pop-ups seem to be the marketing trend of 2022. After recent ones by Tiong Bahru Bakery, Clarins and Kiehl's, a new Insta-worthy pop-up installation has landed in town - the #MEANDMYKFC Installation.
In celebration of KFC Singapore's 45th anniversary, the fried chicken chain is treating fans to photo ops, games, challenges and freebies at a KFC-themed installation located at the outdoor area of VivoCity.
The pop-up opens on 6 July, aka International Fried Chicken Day, and entry is free for all.

Although compact, the #MEANDMYKFC installation is jam-packed with things to see and do. It's also a plus that the air-conditioning is on full blast.
The first thing you'll see is a giant bucket with fried chicken cut-outs and a timeline detailing KFC Singapore's history since 1977.

After that, you'll be spoilt for choice with even more Instagrammable spots from a living room set-up to a wall with neon lights. The sought-after KFC streetwear collection from 2021 makes an appearance here; visitors can put on the shirts and hats for photo ops.

The iconic red and white colour scheme and KFC outfits already make pretty striking photos, but you can take the KFC aesthetic up a notch further with KFC food props like the giant "Zinger burger".

On display are old KFC collectibles that'll bring back nostalgic memories, as well as KFC postcards that visitors can bring home.

This installation isn't just for photo-taking though! There's also a play area with interactive elements such as a KFC-themed foosball table that has Colonel Sanders as the goalkeeper.

Another corner has a challenge area with the actual cooker pot used in KFC kitchens. Inside the chicken cage are figures of fried chicken with the same weight as their real counterparts. Visitors can have a go at "frying" the chicken by lifting the chicken cage into the pot and then taking it out again.
The cage weights a whopping 12kg and embarrassingly, it wouldn't budge a millimetre even when I applied my full strength - kudos to the KFC staff who have to handle this daily.

At the end of the pop-up are claw machines where visitors can try their luck at winning limited-edition KFC plush toys, as well as a gachapon machine.

Every visitor will receive a token to have a go at the gachapon machine to take home a gift. Items you could get include enamel pins, stickers, and special 45th anniversary KFC vouchers to redeem food items.

The first 4,500 visitors will receive a free two-piece chicken voucher. And to round up the celebration, special $4.50 Deals will be rolled out from 1 to 28 July at all outlets which are valid for dine-in, takeaway and KFC delivery.
