Facework Aesthetic: Parisian-Inspired Décor, Complimentary Refreshments & A Wide Range Of Treatments
From elaborate pop-ups with freebies to hanfu dress-up sessions, the beauty industry just keeps shaping up to offer elevated experiences that go beyond the products and services. The latest beauty intrigue in town is Facework Aesthetic's new outlet in the heart of Orchard Road at Shaw House.
What's fascinating about this new 1800 sq ft outlet is its chic Parisian-inspired design that'll help customers immerse themselves in that luxurious, Crazy Rich Asians life.
Each of the eight spacious treatment rooms is decked out in lush carpet and wallpaper with patterns of gold panelled walls that reminds me of the Palace of Versailles.

There's also a couple room for customers to enjoy a beauty pampering alongside their friend or partner.

After the treatment, customers can lounge at the Tea Corner where the opulence continues with the chandelier and gold accented furniture.

The refreshments - such as tea, French macarons and cookies - are complimentary.

There's a wide range of treatments you can enjoy at Facework Aesthetic, including the Needle-less Skin Booster, as well as their three latest additions – the Signature Needle-less Treatment, Muscle Lift Treatment, and Glass Skin Treatment.
I tried their 24k Gold Skin Facial, a classic celebrity favourite that's been talked about for years. This indulgent facial is said to renew the skin, improve blood flow, reduce skin sagging and boost skin elasticity.
After a few cleansing steps and extraction, a thin layer of gold was applied on my face, followed by a mesh fabric, then a thick, gooey layer of gold on top. My first thoughts were, "This actually feels like gold! At least, in terms of weight". The 24k gold felt cool to the touch and despite being a liquid, created a curious sensation of a solid matter gently pressing into my skin.

Did the facial leave me feeling red carpet ready? Maybe, but it certainly brightened my complexion and left it feeling more taut and refreshed. It's also a plus that my sensitive skin wasn't irritated in the least.

Not counting the rattling sound from the air-con cover, the experience at Facework Aesthetic felt as relaxing and bougie as I was expecting.
Facework Aesthetic's 24k Gold Skin Facial is priced at just $68 for first time customers, - pretty tempting considering the Paris-esque environment and complimentary snacks & drinks!
