Affordable Hanbok Experience At New Spa In Singapore: Comes With Mini High Tea, Hair & Scalp Treatment
Last year, I tried out a scalp treatment at a new beauty salon, T&C Beauty House, which offered a complimentary yukata experience plus unlimited snacks and drinks.
Unsurprisingly, appointments at the beauty house are always constantly full and as a result, the owners have opened a second outlet named Oscar Head Spa. Customers can expect the same hair and scalp treatment and freebies plus an all-new experience - dressing up in a hanbok.
Unlike T&C Beauty House that's located at a rather ulu location, Oscar Head Spa is conveniently accessible just a few steps from Clarke Quay MRT at The Central Soho 1.
This new outlet is considerably more spacious, boasting three treatment rooms, a scalp scanner station, lounge areas, and a bar over two floors.
The double storey windows give the interior a wow factor, flooding the interior with natural light and showing off a stunning view of the Marina Bay skyline.

On the second storey is a mini bar and floor seating area that has Hanok vibes - very apt for hanbok photo-taking.

Hair & Scalp Treatment at Oscar Head Spa
The scalp treatment is exactly like the one at T&C Beauty House. It starts and ends with a scalp scan to compare the condition of the scalp before and after the treatment.

The treatment consists of the same steps, namely a scalp massage, gua sha, deep cleansing, detoxification, shampooing, scalp moisturiser, hair mask, steaming and scalp ampoule.
The team kept the same formula with some updates that gave the treatment a more premium touch. These include noise-cancelling headphones that dulled the sound of the steamer, a more thorough neck, shoulder and arm massage, and the use of new technology to help the ampoule better absorb into the scalp. New customers also get to take home some freebies: two bottles of scalp care products and boxes of tissue paper.

Only products made with plant-based ingredients are used in the treatment, which makes it suitable for just about anyone including children and pregnant ladies.
Good news for non-Chinese speakers! Some of the staff at this outlet speak English and so you'll be able to understand each step of the treatment as it goes along.
The treatment was relaxing from start to finish, partially thanks to the soothing music and gorgeous starry sky projection on the ceiling.

Complimentary Mini High Tea
After emerging from the room, a picture-ready mini high tea set was waiting for me!

Customers can enjoy a free flow of fruit, cakes, snacks and drinks. On the beverage menu are wines, cocktails, teas, coffee, Milo, mocha and soya milk.
Hanbok Experience
After the treatment, the staff blowdried and styled my hair with a traditional Korean hair accessory.

They helped me put on a hanbok over my clothes and it was time for photo-taking!

The city skyline and low tables make a great photo backdrop, or you could head upstairs for a hanok-style setting.
