Read on to find out more!
In case you didn't know, a pojangmacha is a small tent usually set up along the streets of Korea, selling street food like tteokbokki, kimbap and hotteok.
To recreate that same vibe, Pocha in a Forest brought in a red tent and yellow plastic chairs that are often seen in pojangmachas. The colourful lights are also a familiar sight! Take a seat in the tent and you will be instantly transported back to the bustling streets of Korea.
Apart from the tent, Pocha in a Forest also has many Insta-worthy spots, thanks to the neon lights decorating the walls.
Fill your tummies with their lunch menu which consists of Spicy Instant Noodle, Tteok-bokki with Kimmari, Stir Fried Noodles, Bibimbap and Kimchi Stew with Tuna or Pork. Prices range from $12 to $16.
Their dinner menu includes Marinated Meat (Pork or Beef), Spicy Instant Noodles, Fish Cake Soup, Kimchi Pizza and Kimchi Fried Rice. Prices range from $12 to $24.
But make sure you don't miss out on the Bar Bites for the full pojangmacha experience! Choose from Pancake (Kimchi, Chives, Spring Onion or Kimbap), Soy Sauce Chicken Wing, Spicy Sauce Chicken Wing, Kimchi Fries with Bacon, Corn Cheese, Fried Prawn Head and more. Prices range from $10 to $18.
Wash everything down with makgeolli (Korean rice wine) available in 11 different flavours, from original and peach, to Yakult and banana. Prices range from $24 to $36.
Of course, one cannot miss out on downing some soju shots while at a Korean bistro! Prices range from $18 per bottle to $30 for a jug of Milkis Soju.
Pocha in a Forest's Ice Beer (from $15) is also a must-try! Beer will be served in a frozen mug where ice flakes will float in your drink as it melts. Order the Dried Pollack Fish to go with it too.
Gather some friends and get a taste of Korea soon!
