Chinese New Year is still six months away, but there's no reason we can't indulge in CNY goodies any time we like, specially if it's pineapple tarts, arguably the best of them all.
Kitchen 0312, a home-based bakery in Singapore, sells adorable Hello Kitty-shaped pineapple tarts in boxes with beautiful floral designs.

Started by Yong Sheng, a stay-at-home dad in Singapore, Kitchen 0312 has quite the sentimental origin story.
The four numbers in the brand's name indicates the date 3 December 2018 - the day that Yong Sheng's 7-year-old daughter was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. After quitting his job to take care of her, he turned his baking hobby into a full time home business to help fund the medical feels.
Altruistic motivations aside, Kitchen 0312's specialty is plenty tempting on its own: Taiwanese-style pineapple tarts shaped like Hello Kitty.
While the Singaporean version is an open-faced tart with just pineapple jam, the Taiwanese version typically has pineapple as well as mashed winter melon encased in a crust that's a cake and biscuit hybrid.

Kitchen 0312's pineapple tarts will be more familiar to Singaporean taste buds as they're filled with just pineapple and sugar. There's also a limited edition flavour with rose and winter melon that will be available sporadically.
The pineapple tarts come in a Gift Box Set ($14) of six tarts packaged in a drawer-type box or a gorgeous floral box - perfect as a gift.

You can also purchase it in a Sealer Bag ($12) which comes with six tarts in a resealable bag.
