The chubby kitty's success story is similar to that of Gudetama. Its narcissistic and realistically imperfect personality is relatable for people on days they don't feel like sunshine and rainbows.

#2 529 - @hi_johnnn
Inspired by her own dogs, illustrator Eileen (@hi_johnnn) depicts the wholesome lives of a French bulldog 小強 (xiao qiang) and two Shiba Inus 柴柴 (chai chai) and 圓圓 (yuan yuan) in her illustrations.

#3 5288 -@baobaonevertell
The origin of the term baobao (@baobaonevertell), meaning baby in Mandarin, is debated. Some time in the 2010s, a phrase started getting buzz on the Internet in China and Taiwan, roughly translated as: The baby is wronged. The baby feels bitter, but the baby does not say it.
This resonated with many as we all know that feeling when you feel sad but either don't know how to explain it or don't know who to tell, and so you don't say anything at all.

Thus, 'baobao never tell' became sort of a meme where people would refer to themselves in third person as a baby, "baobao". Instagram has quite a few stickers and gifs of this endearing and squish-able baby character.

#4 5240 - @sweethouse.sl
Don't let his chubby cheeks fool you, this little animal called Sunglin (@sweethouse.sl) may look like a hamster but is actually a squirrel. His fluffy tail gives it away!

#5 5270 - @sweethouse.cc
Things don't need to be in scale in the illustrated world. That's why it makes total sense that Sunglin, a squirrel, is slightly larger than his wife Chini (@sweethouse.cc), who is a cow. Both their number codes have stickers showing their cute couple moments.
