Mediacorp Actress Julie Tan Reveals She Was Abused By Ex-Boyfriend
Damn.. No matter how terrible a cheating boyfriend may seem, nothing can beat having an abusive boyfriend :(
Even though the main leads in the live Mediacorp drama are Hong Hui Fang and Pan Ling Ling, there were many other parties involved. Julie Tan is one of those suffering the wrath of the media, especially since the spotlight is now on her past relationships.
Speaking to Lianhe Wanbao, Julie Tan revealed that she was physically and verbally abused by her ex-boyfriend back in 2016. The Singaporean businessman was older than her by 11 years and even cheated on Julie Tan during their relationship. Can you girls believe that this happened all within 6 months?!

I envy her (Pan) for being lucky enough to fall in love and have a happy marriage with her first boyfriend. But I wasn’t so lucky. I had to go through a few relationships to understand myself and find a right partner.

Julie Tan's scars reopened when she was pulled into the drama between Hong Hui Fang and Pan Ling Ling.
During a birthday party with their circle of friends in June 2018, Pan Ling Ling casually suggested Hong Hui Fang's son Calvert Tay go for a STD preventive jab as he was reportedly dating Julie Tan.
In case you didn't get the innuendo, it basically means that Julie Tan may have contracted something unspeakable and would pass it to Calvert Tay as she's been in a couple of relationships; more notably one with a Turkish guy back in 2017.

Since the story went public, Julie Tan and her mother have demanded Pan Ling Ling to take back her words and issue a public apology which the latter have done so but this incident has inevitably opened up old woulds for Julie. Poor girl!

It is safe to say that Julie Tan's lost all respect for her 'senior' after this saga though.
Julie's opening up her old wounds and facing her past trauma to show Pan Ling Ling that even though she's been through a few unsuccessful relationships, it doesn't mean that she's a promiscuous woman as what the latter implied.
